Chainshine Financial Training (www.chainshine.com) was founded in Beijing in 1998 by former Wall Street bankers with MBA degrees from Harvard and Wharton. It has primarily provided skill-orientated training programs such as Valuation Modeling, M&A Valuation Modeling, and Financial Statement Analysis to investment banks, fund management firms, PEs, commercial banks, listed companies, as well as students majoring in business from the top four universities in China.
Chainshine developed AIFA (Applied Investment & Finance Analyst) certification exams, which are used as recruitment screening tools by professional PEs, securities firms, banks and other financial institutions, as well as used as performance evaluation standard.
Chainshine's CFA prep courses (100-hour each level) are effective and popular among candidates from financial institutions.
Chainshine has been the prep provider of CFA institute since 2015.
1. Designing Concise Courses for Busy Finance Sector Employees
The number of CFA® Program candidates in China has increased impressively in recent years. With the finance sector opening up more to outsiders, China needs to gain greater in-depth knowledge on international financial market practices. More people working in the finance sector need to learn the CFA® Program. As such, most of Chainshine’s prep course students are employees at financial institutions. To help these intermediate-level candidates, proficient in English and with backgrounds in finance and business, Chainshine developed 100-hour online prep courses, instructed in Chinese for each of the three levels. By addressing the main challenges facing busy candidates, Chainshine helps them shorten prep time effectively.
2. Promoting CFA® Program Ethics and Professional Standards
As a young capitel market, China lacks ethics training. Chainshine promotes the CFA® Program Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct by frequently holding free ethics lectures each year.
3. Rewriting Study Notes for Level I in Chinese
Chainshine rewrote Study Notes for Level I in Chinese, complete with bilingual finance terminology, and English practice problems, to help candidates less proficient in English. These portable notes effectively reach out to more Chinese readers who want to learn finance through the CFA® Program.
The study notes were published by renowned Chinese business and finance publisher, CITIC Press Group, first in 2017 and a second edition in 2019.
Both editions have permission from CFA Institute to reproduce and republish Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct; Examples in the Standards of Practice Handbook, and Sample CFA Institute Standards of Practice Exam and Exam Answers and Analysis from the Standards of Practice Handbook, 11th Edition, by CFA Institute.
